Weitere Informationen

Dr. Eric Racine is Director of the Neuroethics research unit and Associate IRCM Research Professor. He is also a member of the Departments of Medicine and Social and Preventive Medicine (Bioethics Programs; Université de Montréal), an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery (McGill University), and an Affiliate Member of the Biomedical Ethics Unit (McGill University). His research is designed to improve the ethical aspects of quality of care, research practices and public communications in the domain of clinical and basic neuroscience. Various approaches and research methods, such as qualitative interviews, content analysis and media studies, are used to develop ethical approaches in health care and research. For example, some research projects propose ethical approaches to end-of-life decision-making for patients with severe neurological conditions, while others examine and attempt to improve the quality of information available in the media on neurological conditions and research methods in neuroscience.
